music production video proposal
Nav's 'Held me down' is a hit song which rose to fame because NAV talks about a girl who would take care of him before he was famous. Much of NAV’s music details his rise to fame and he reflects on his old life, before the fame. This is what he means by “way before I found my sound.” The music video listeners will be people in their teens, so the video will need to be clear and not explicit. The colours of the video will be a bit darker as it is a song that gives the listener a sad vibe, plus there will be usage of more happy in lines that he is talking about his old girlfriend as he was happy back then; it will show the contrast and the moral of ''having money doesn't bring happiness''.
The purposes my video will try to achieve are, to be long enough, to be good enough and to give the viewer a nice 3-minute experience. Throughout the video clip I want to use a lot of props and so that the video clip will be very eye-catching and interesting. I am not a boring person; I hate watching video clips that only show the artist singing and a few shots of him doing other stuff. On the other hand, I love the culture of editing and I also love the use of these editing softwares so I will try to edit my video in the best way possible.
The use of video editing software will be needed and since there is not any free software, I believe that I could do a 30-day subscription to Adobe Premiere for £16.99. In order for the video to look professional, clean and clear, I would need a camera with high quality but since I have an Phone I could use my phone. I would definitely need a huge black screen for background but a 3 metre black cloth only cost £20 . Some ways of saving cost would be by using old stuff, hidden at my garage. For example. I already have some LED lights with black, red and blue colours, which can obviously be a gigantic assistance on the video-clip shoot as lights can help adjust the colours of the video clip and make it more clear. Also, I have old props which can be used, like a cart, a basketball hoop, and some fireworks. These will only be needed for the aesthetics but they would sure be a great addition.

Video clips nowadays have a significant role in the industry. Although now everything is digital, music videos are the cherry on the cake. Video clips can hugely help an artist get discovered and increase his general reputation. For example,
1.Stuck in the Sound is a French indie pop band that was formed in 2002. The band has several albums and a lot of successful songs in recent years.
Their song named ''Let's Go'' is a song about not having to be in a relationship in order to find joy in life. The animated video clip eye-catches the viewer straight-away as the bright red and purple colours make it look like a happy-ending romantic short film. In Contrast, the man on the video is first presented as a very focused and ambitious man; his only focus? reaching the moon! ''Girl I found my way out'' is a lyric that best describes the man's relationship status. He didn't let anything stop him from his moon landing, neither family nor romance. Although, during the final stages of the video the man can be seen in his rocketship trying to find the woman who was seen on his ship's TV. He did the undoable, climbed over airplanes, went space-surfing on a keg just to find out that it was not a woman, but a man. The moral of the video is to not let dreams get ahead of you too much, a balanced life is what a person needs. On the other hand, the two men can be seen playing video games and enjoying each other's company so you can question the need of relationship in someone's life. The use of animation in this video highlights the fact that ____________

'This Time For Africa' or 'Waka Waka' is a promotional video clip sung by Shakira! The World Cup is by far the most important football venue and in order to attract a lot of people on something, it needs to be eye-catching. The 'it' is the World Cup and with Shakira being one of the hottest artists in the world they decide to give her a chance, which they obviously did not regret! With more than 2.5 billion views as by November of 2019 and the video clip containing the likes of a lot of famous footballer it surely has to be one of the greatest video clips of all time. The video starts off the crucial moment where Italy won the 2006 World Cup and then goes on to show some sneak peeks of clips taken from older World Cup venues. When Shakira is shown singing the refrain, her with a dozen of people behind her start dancing and moving their hands from left to right and then front. We can see in the video that there is every race shown so it also promotes a message for anti-racism in football and how racism should not be shared; linking it to UEFA's anti racism campaign. The video clip keeps changing every 6-12 seconds from a football clip to Shakira and people dancing. Although, as the video goes, more people start joining Shakira. In addition this shows how being an optimistic person and enjoying life at its most can assist you in being more likeable and a enjoyable person.

Gangnam Style
Psy was and is one of the most known artists from South Korea. His worldwide hit 'Gangnam Style' became the most viewed video on youtube vey quick and his success doesn't just stop there. After that, his hit 'gentleman' peaked at #3 in america but it wasn't as successful as Gangnam style which went platinum 45 times in 14 countries.
The video starts out with Psy, who is lounging at what looks like a sandy beach, under a sun umbrella and holding a cold drink, but the camera zooms out to reveal he is actually at a playground. The video then alternates between the playground, where a boy (Hwang Min-woo) dances next to him; and a row of horses in stalls, where Psy performs his signature "invisible horse dance"As Psy (and two girls) walk through a parking garage, they are pelted by pieces of newspaper, trash, and snow. At a sauna, he rests his head on a man's shoulder, dressed in blue, while another man covered in tattoos is stretching. He then sings in front of two men playing Janggi (Korean chess), dances with a woman at a tennis court, and bounces around on a tour bus of seniors. The scenes alternate quickly until there is an explosion near the chess players, causing them to dive off the bench. Psy immediately walks towards the camera, pointing and shouting "Oppan Gangnam Style". The chorus starts as he and some dancers perform at a horse stable. He dances as two women walk backwards. He dances at the tennis court, a carousel, and the tour bus. He shuffles into an outdoor yoga session and on a boat. The camera zooms in on a woman's butt, then shows Psy "yelling" at it.
Psy and Noh Hong-chul in the elevator scene in the music video of "Gangnam Style".The chorus ends and he is seen at a parking lot, where Psy is approached by a man (Yoo Jae-suk) in a yellow suit who steps out of a red Mercedes-Benz S and immediately they have a dance battle. He then appears in an elevator underneath a man (Noh Hong-Chul) who is straddling him and thrusting his pelvis. The man in the yellow suit then gets in his car and leaves. The camera pans and it shows Psy in the subway station, where he boards the train and notices an attractive young woman (Hyuna) dancing. At one of the train stops, he approaches the girl in slow motion, and she does the same. They start to embrace. He then tells the girl "Oppan Gangnam Style", and they horse dance along with some others at the train stop, commencing the second chorus. He also surfaces from a spa.[59][60][note 1]Psy sings to the girl at a night club as people in various costumes walk behind them. He raps in a serious tone in an enclosed space, but when he says "You know what I'm saying" the camera zooms out, and it is revealed that he is actually sitting on a toilet with his pants down.[59] Psy and a large group of dancers do the horse dance and strike a final pose. After a brief reprise of the dance duel, Psy says, "Oppan Gangnam style", and the video finishes with a cartoon graphic.

Essay on Music videos.
Music videos were first introduced to the world
in the early 20th century. They were first named talkies or soundies. In the
last century we have seen a massive progress in the video music industry!
Nowadays, music videos are not just 3 minutes of an artist
singing, music videos have increasingly advanced with tons of different styles
and unique directors!
Basically, music videos are short films with a
concept and an artist's music playing in the background. Music videos are very
popular nowadays as they hugely boost an artist's record sales and these videos
help the artist be closer to his fans. In addition, music videos are very often
created for promotional or sponsor purposes.
During the 50's, Tony Bennett claimed that he
produced "the first music video" when he was filmed walking along the
Serpentine in Hyde Park, London in 1956, with the resulting clip being set to
his recording of the song "Stranger in Paradise". The clip was sent
to UK and US television stations and aired on shows including Dick Clark's
American Bandstand! Although, in the mid-40's, Louis Jordan, a famous singer,
created short films for some of his song which included of people acting and
dancing frantically! (See below)
As the years passed, music videos became even more
relevant, artistic and extremely professional! There is not 1 artist signed to
a label that has never done a music video clip. Nowadays, music videos help in
the making of an artist; and not only. Hundreds of people are needed to make a
video clip; For example, directors, scriptwriters,make-up technicians, costume
designers and these are just a few on top of my head.
For the past decade, music videos have become very
futuristic ande aesthetic with loads of of them having hidden meanings. In
addition, a large amount of artists use their video clips to ''throw shade'' at
other artists without having to 'namedrop' them!
For example, one of the most abstract music videos of the past decade, is
Kanye West's 'Famous'. The use of wax figures for Taylor Swift, Donald
Trump and others has been considered as a hugely provocative move. I am 100%
sure that at least 70% of the millenials would agree with the fact that Kanye
is the most influential person of the decade due to his professionalism and his
exasperating lyrics and music videos!
