production context

Factors of production are the resources people use to produce goods and services; they are the building blocks of the economy. Economists divide the factors of production into four categories: land, labor, capital, and entrepreneurship.

The first factor is land. Any natural resources that help with the shooting. These resources can be renewable, such as forests, or nonrenewable such as oil or natural gas. The income that resource owners earn in return for land resources is called rent.

The second factor is labour. Labour is everyone involved with the project that provides something to the final piece. From the delivery guy that brings the lunch, to the engineer that designed the the stage.

a movie -

Todds Philips' film named '' The Joker'' relies on the DC comic character, Joker. Joker has always been a loner and in isolation throughout his whole life. The film by Todd Phillips arouses extreme emotions and it's equally easy to choke after it, falling into uncritical admiration, moreover because it is simple to bounce, hate or seek social harm.

1. This film can empathize with folks that have actually had these feelings before and relate to the Joker. Todd Phillips' film evokes extreme emotion and also the sadness of the session may be a greater consolation, the wrath of the uncircumcised protection, a robust and irresistible one is quite its weaning. Todd Philipps sought to check his potential beyond the comedy, as he had only been the director of comedy movies before, and thereto of dramatic subversive narration, responsibly and successfully capturing the malicious texts of contemporary civilization, his seeming correctness, and chronic pathologies like racism, illegal gun possession, crime.

The film stays within the person for extended and causes you to think. By creating ''The Joker'', Todd Phillips came out of the comedy temperature to share with the viewer a story deeper, more mature and harder to look at. It touches on the acute economic differences of the planet capitalist system, the arrogance of a corrupt elite that depletes poverty, unemployment, and helplessness. the town is drowning in garbage through a garbage strike, the streets are dominated by rats, and every one general corruption and frustration is fueled by the upcoming mayor election, within which multimillionaire Thomas Wayne ... well ... for example that his statements awaken rather extreme feelings among poorer residents. Some, like Arthur's mother, see him as a savior of Gotham, others - a representative of the oppressive and exploiting ordinary people of the social class. The atmosphere within the city is tense, and Gotham is on the verge of anarchy.

2. Arthur Fleck ( role played by Joaquin Phoenix ) has recently left the psychiatric institution. He earns his living by the day as a clown for rent. within the evenings, during a dingy tenement, together with his bedridden mother seriously ill, he watches Murray Franklin ( role played by Robert role player ) chat show, dreaming of someday appearing as a comedian. From time to time, the hero visits Social Security. She receives prescriptions for medicines and reports to the bored clerk about the progress in returning to the bosom of society. From the very beginning, the creators have hinted that Arthur's mind constantly wobbles on the rope suspended over the abyss. So when in the future a piece colleague gives a person a revolver, falling into the abyss remains a matter of your time.

3.4.

The director tried to form it a very different Joker than everything we've seen in films and television series thus far. Knowing the context of this character I straightaway guessed that the movie would cover the dark areas of our society. this is often a movie that only people who have felt alone and isolated can truly relate thereto. You understand the motive and you are feeling compassionate the character. lots of individuals will see this movie and think that it encourages violence. But truly, ''The Joker'' should encourage each and each one among us to become a far better person, treat everyone with respect and make one another want they belong during this world. Joker was always deemed as a loner! Besides his schizophrenic mom, he had nobody to vent to. Lack of communication and lack of friendships led to Joker completely losing his brain! Sometimes, so as to feel happy for a minimum of a second, The Joker was just imagining scenarios on his head! His neighbor, a hard-working and working-class mother who Joker always admired and secretly loved appeared on of his day-dreams. on it dream, Joker had a conversation along with her|along with her} and managed to form love with her. Unfortunately, it absolutely was just a dream but it still made him happy for a moment of his miserable life.

Joker's inability to cry or feel sad was what makes the full film interesting and also irritating sometimes. for instance, when he got sacked by the Clown Company he worked at, he felt like his dreams were crushed. He saw his job as a clown as a chance to progress together with his stand-up comedy career! What really excited me was the places where it absolutely was shot. while this is often a modern-day movie set in 1981, every scene had this cult, old and traditional big apple look! What I also like about this film is that it's very down-to-earth and extremely realistic! There are numerous people tormented by schizophrenia and other serious mental illnesses. during this case, his schizophrenia has driven him insane; to a degree where The emaciated and malicious Joker was on a killing spree against folks that didn't need to have their life alienated, for instance, Murray Franklin ( role played by Robert De Niro ). He would probably never reach for a weapon if he wasn't humiliated and marginalized. He wouldn't seek acceptance from a stranger if he knew love, normality and understanding reception. He probably wouldn't have done lots of bad things if the society blindly pursuing its needs had not trampled it at almost every step.

5.6  Given that I have watched multiple films based around ''The Joker'', I felt very uncomfortable with the make-up used for him. I felt like there should be more red, especially on his face. Red may be a tough and robust color that invokes strong emotions. this color would also connotate blood, something that was shed on multiple occasions throughout this film! additionally thereto, the white a part of the make-up wasn't clean enough. I think that if Joker's make-up was cleaner and whiter, the contrast between Joker's mean, devilish, dark character and also the colour white's meaning of pureness, softness, kindness would make with the make-up used for Joker. I felt like there should have been redder. Red is a tough and strong color that invokes strong emotions. This colour would also connotate blood, something that was shed on multiple occasions throughout this film! In addition to that, the white part of the make-up was not clean enough. I believe that if Joker's make-up was cleaner and whiter, the contrast between Joker's mean, devilish, dark character and the colour white's meaning of pureness, softness, kindness would make the film scarier and more eye-catching. What I also didn't like was the way Joker was dressed. I would prefer it if there was some green on it as several fans are aware that green is Joker's colour scheme. I believe that a touch of green on his suit would not only make The Joker scarier but it would let other people empathize. Green is a colour of energy, safety, immortality, harmony and also has connotations to money, greed and New World Order. Many people felt safety while The Joker was in action, mainly working-class people; there had never been one like them. They saw themselves in The Joker! The Joker never cared about money, he was always living under extremely difficult situations but money was the last thing he would think of! All he cared about was power and being remembered as someone! Apart from that, I strongly believe that the rest of the film was a 5/5 and have nothing else to ''rant'' on!

7.8 Everybody else just treats him badly because… so. They are bad people. This society only produces bad people. It's so cynical that it's exhausting. Arthur lives in a society in which the world symbolizes a nihilist, simply because he violently overthrows the social status quo. So much despair. It is the symbol of an empty, "apolitical" social revenge. That is chaos.  The Oscar-winning Joaquin Phoenix proved all his haters wrong with a spectacular performance. Many said that just the once scene with Robert De Niro, on his TV show, proved that Joaquin Phoenix is a great actor punching above his weight in this film. In addition, many were very impressed with Penny Fleck, also known as ''The Joker's'' mum, a role played by Frances Conroy! Penny Fleck, a supposedly very sick and weak woman was the only person alive The Joker could really talk to. The Joker's mum was proof that he can be a person with values and decency. Todd Phillips's Joker is a man who causes discomfort in the environment who holds a card with the inscription "I'm mentally ill", while Joker Joaquin Phoenix is a man whose actions are controlled by pain. An unclassifiable pain, with no single source, no single cause, but pain so strong that it sticks out from the screen towards the viewer. This is an excellent role so much.
The Joker had been taking care of his mum for over a decade. When talking to her, raising his voice would be forbidden and his only good side was there to be seen. Not a lot of information is known for his mum though. What we know is that she lives in an old and poor New York apartment with her son. While portrayed by Frances Conroy, you can understand that she has psychological problems in the first 30 minutes or so. The way she would speak, the way she would look at people, the way she was watching Tv all day. It looked like she was brainwashed. Throughout the film, It looked like Joker and Penny had a great relationship but it was not until later on that they had a break-up; when it was proven that his mum suffered from schizophrenia. When The Joker realized that his schizophrenic mom was the reason he was that way too, he did not wait a split second. Joker choked her in the hospital bed. Some said that it was his payback for driving him crazy all these years; some others say that it cruel from him as it was his mother but do not forget, The Joker is ruthless.

9. It causes the audience to consider many topics on morality, particularly the poor choices made by the Joker. The Joker is more relatable in this movie than antagonists usually are. I think this gives a more realistic view of "evil" people, who are not usually 100% bad in all ways as a society often judges. It is important to know when to sympathize with the Joker (towards the beginning of the movie), and when he needs to be identified as a threat (when he begins making certain bad choices). This movie is only suitable for adults who are willing to pick it apart and think critically about it. It isn't for light amusement.I do not sympathize with the killer, but because the film masterfully tells about a disturbed man, it would be hard for me not to try to understand Arthur. The story of him leaves clues that are reflected in unnecessary crimes about which the media informs us every day. That substance is what makes it so good. I would strongly suggest this film as it is not just a ''superhero'' film, it's a film about our society and how some people have it harder than the rest. In my opinion, this is a 5/5 film. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been an Oscar-winning film.
Although, If you aren't able to ponder underlying themes on your own, and you have to be handed all your thoughts to you, then this isn't the best movie for you.

EVALUATION

Throughout the 2 minutes 30 seconds video clip, a variety of videos, pictures, and effects were used. The shooting of the video clip started in December and ended on the 1st of February. I edited parts in between as well even though we had not finished filming. The editing finished on 04/02, 2 days prior to the deadline! When the task was first given to us, we made a clear and timeline and we stuck with it. The end date was programmed to be 29/01 but due to certain family events happening to Maks, he had to leave for Poland for over a week.

Our song choice was ''Astrothunder'' by one of the most important artists of this decade, Travis Scott.
Maks came up with the idea as it was clear song (meaning that it contained of 0 explicit content), the length was very good (2:08 minutes) and it is a song to which you can make a video clip quite easily.

The target audience for my video clip would be teenagers, aged from 11-18. Although there are millions of adults and younger kids that listen to experimental rap. I have used different effects and colors on scenes; I really enjoy watching ''abstract'' music video clips, so I saw this Assignment as a chance to create one. The song does not include any explicit content so it would not be dangerous for any age to listen to it. I have used props such as nerf guns, basketballs lighters and masks in order to connect with the viewer. Due to the lack of ''budget'', I am not 100% comfortable with the end product but I think that I and Maks came up with some great ideas. What I liked and enjoyed the most were the basketball shots. In the video, you can see Maks doing a turnover and score. This took us a bit of time too but it was worth it in the end. In addition, I used some pictures of Maks. I went 360 degrees around him and took about 5 pictures. I did this because I thought that it would be nice to have a closer look at what we do in our free time. In addition, I This links to the lyrics of the song we picked, ''Wildin on me with my G's''. The term ''G'' actually means ''gangster'' but people in the UK use it as a slang term for friends. At the beginning os the music video clip, I thought that it would be very ''original'' to use the video of my set-up while zooming in and then straight away moving to the ''intro picture'' of the video. I have seen a similar idea on a youtube video a few years back and since it was not very popular  I decided to use it too. The intro screen is on MS Paint because as I said before I like using concepts and effects which are not mainstream. Most of the lyrics have a strong correlation with the videos used. For example, when Travis says, ''Light the remedy'' a video of a bin burning is used. The bin was metallic and we only lit it for a few minutes just to capture a couple of videos and use it in scenes.

The Travis Scott material that I used is copyright-free material! I used it so the viewer can connect easier with the artist and have a closer look at the artist's  ''personality''. Travis Scott is known for being one of the most ''hype-men'' on the planet, meaning that he is always full of creativity and energy in his shows.
